Ms Emojong said young people will not want to miss the summer pool party on Thursday, January 10 at the recently completed Gunnedah Memorial Pool Complex.
“There will be a DJ, information stalls, competitions and free entry for the first 100 kids aged under 16 years who book online,” Ms Emojong said.
“It will be a fun day for kids and families alike to experience the incredible new facilities we have.”
Gunnedah Youth Council (GYC) has also launched the GYC Drought Relief Short Film Competition.
“Young people can unleash their creativity and experience living in the country for a good cause by entering into the competition,” Ms Emojong said
“Short-listed entries will have their film shown on the big screen at a Showcase at The Civic, and the community is invited to watch the results of Gunnedah’s talented youth.
“Funds raised from the showcase will be donated to Buy-a-Bale.”
