TAMWORTH'S talent will again shine with the Tamworth Proud concert in Toyota Park today. The show will feature Aleyce Simmonds, Brent Larkham, Brett Clarke, Shelley and Lawrie Minson, Ethan Crosby Wolfe, Aaron Bolton and Rusty Crook, and Lindsay Butler, Shaza Leigh and Peggy Gilchrist. Organiser and compere Jodie Crosby said the show would build on the inaugural concert last year. "We are having different artists on this year, to give everyone a chance," she said. "We are showcasing Tamworth artists to visitors and showing that we have a lot of high-profile acts here doing really good things and making records. We have lots of talented people here." Crosby said the show was also about the city acknowledging it was proud of the local Tamworth acts who played here all year round. There will be something for everyone, from traditional Australian bush ballads to cutting-edge new country, contemporary country and rockabilly. "Everybody on the show either lives here or grew up here, and we have a good mixture of artists that are representing different forms of the country genre," Crosby said. The show kicks off at 7pm at Toyota Park.
