BRIGHT STAR
Gunnedah Conservatorium will present John Bell and Simon Tedeschi in Bright Star, exploring the life, love and genius of two bright stars of the Romantic era – John Keats and Franz Schubert. Performing some of the most-beloved poems of Keats including Bright Star, Ode to a Nightingale, and La Belle Dame Sans Merci, and music by Schubert including Ave Maria, Winterreise and Sonata no.18 in G major (Fantasie), Bell and Tedeschi share their insights into the enduring power of these timeless works, and the lives of the artists who created them. BOGGABRI SPRING FAIR
The Boggabri Spring Fair and Food Festival will start at 8.30am on Saturday and continue until 2pm. there will be lots of market and food stalls, the “Rainmaker” Dance Boss competition, a jumping castle, water slide, fashion parade, art shed, flower show and much more, with an hourly lucky shopper draw. FARMERS FAMILY FUN DAY
Carinya School in Gunnedah will hold a Farmers Family Fun Day on Saturday with a jumping castle, face-painting, craft tent, slushies, pamper tent for the ladies, man cave, darts, a barbecue and an under the stars family movie screening of Wonder. Your bring the chair and the fun day will supply the popcorn. All free from 3pm.

BREAST CANCER BALL
The Breast Cancer Ball will be held on Saturday, October 20 at Gunnedah Town Hall from 6.30pm until midnight. Dress is formal. BYO basket supper, full bar service and entertainment by BUSTA. There will also be an auction. The event is for 18 years and over. Tickets are $60 and are available from Browns Tyre Service and Gordon Barry & Co.
