MEMBERS of Rotary Club of Gunnedah 2380 have extended a helping hand to members of Gunnedah Sunnyfield through a $500 donation.

At the clubs annual changeover dinner on June 29, members from both organisations came together to celebrate the fundraising efforts.

A cheque for $500 was presented to the Sunnyfield members by incoming club president Stacey Cooke during the nights annual cheque presentations.

Alistair MacDougall accepted the donation on Sunnyfield’s behalf and announced to Rotary members and guests that the money will be used to re-decorate and develop the groups new quiet room.

The new room will allow Sunnyfield’s Gunnedah clients  to spend time listening to music, or simply be in a welcoming area where they will be able to take time out to think.
