In particular, extending the times to have it open again until 8pm, so more families can enjoy a swim.
Cr Ann Luke said a few people had approached councillors with their opposing opinions after the council voted to reduce pool hours by an hour at the August meeting.

However, Cr Luke, along with Cr Owen Hasler and Cr Colleen Fuller, are pushing for a study with "accurate figures" to determine whether having extended pool opening hours will impact the cost ratio.
"We're happy to support those community members who have raised these issues with it to retain the longer hours in the evening at least until we can accurately note the patronage to see whether it is justified with those hours ... because in the past it didn't even include season ticket holders," Cr Hasler said.
"How do we know how many have come in if they're not counting accurately?"
Cr Hasler said they were hoping the study would occur from November this year until June 2021, so they didn't have to either raise the entry price or lower the pay of pool staff to meet the 30 per cent target.
"I understand we have to be economically sustainable but to reduce operating hours seems a bit premature," he told the NVI.
"To close earlier in the evening, that's not our preferred position, unless the figures show costs need to be addressed but there's other ways to address those costs."
Cr Luke said the three councillors hoped that after the data was collected, the later closing time can be retained "for a few years".
