One week into their four week donation drive, Lions Club member Chris Kane says it's shaping up just as fantastic as always.
"It's been a great thing for us to continue this year and achieve COVID safe plans, and looking around it's actually been a positive thing out of all the challenges," he says.
While the books are collected all year, the month leading up to the sale sees signs erected all over town with the drop off point at the showground pavilion.
"The Lions Club blokes are great at lifting boxes and throwing a great barbecue, but most are terrible at sorting," he joked.
"So we have a group of friends of the book sale, who come and sort everything out.
"We both have great teams and it's a really, really positive experience for everyone."

He says there are a collection of Tamworthians who come and spend hundreds of dollars on books for the year, and then donate them back to the club and buy more.
"The amount of positive feedback we've heard ... it's really heartwarming and a bit overwhelming really."
The sale will run for a week at The Pavilion at Paceway Tamworth on Showground Rd.
The first day is Saturday November 7, 8am till 5pm, then every day from 9am to 5pm running until the following Sunday at noon.
