Keeping finances in mind, Rural Adversity Mental Health's Kate Arndell will discuss the various drought relief supports available, with a specific focus on the organisation's wellness and resilience program.
HealthWISE primary health care nurse Chloe Wilkin said she had seen the effect of the drought on the health of rural communities and wanted to remind locals to look after themselves.
She said at a recent event, health checks of farmers aged 30-35 showed that the majority had high blood pressure stress.
The nurse said changes in diet could significantly affect health outcomes.
At the event, locals will have the chance to book free skin checks with Ms Wilkin who is trained in dermoscopy.
Women's Health Week (September 2-8) is an initiative of national organisation Jean Hailes for Women's Health, and aims to help women prioritise their physical and emotional health and well-being.
