Set to take place on Sunday, March 14, the four person ambrose competition costs just $25 per person to enter, and the proceeds will go towards a good cause.
The Mary Ranken Childcare Centre is hoping to extend their readiness room so it can connect to the main building, and any funds raised from the golf day would be of significant use in those efforts.
Director Cherie Ison said the change was something the organisation had been looking at for quite some time, and that it would be extremely beneficial.
"That's [the readiness room] for the preparation of children 4 to 5-years-old, the year before school," she said.
"There's one early childhood teacher to teach children in there at the moment and it's very, very popular so we'd like to be able to fit a few more children in there because it's quite small at the moment."

Despite the forecast of wet weather on Sunday, the event is likely to go ahead and Ms Ison is urging people to sign up.
Food will be included in the costs, with Jack and Jill's Cafe coming on board to provide pulled-pork rolls with gravy for the participants.
The event has run for a number of years, and they are keen to gain enough support to justify continuing the tradition in the future.
A number of local business have so far come on board with all 18 holes being sold, while B.P Cranes Contracting has signed up as a major sponsor and a number of families and organisations have donated prizes.
Anybody interested in having a hit, a good time or at least some good food is encouraged to contact the Pro Shop on 67421751, or call 0488 575 616.
