"LPSC successfully applied for a grant from the Federal Government's Bridges Renewal Program and was successful in gaining 50 per cent of the replacement cost for a concrete structure, built to current Australian standards, that provides unrestricted access for heavy vehicles and a useful life of at least 100 years," said Mayor, Councillor Doug Hawkins OAM.
"Council will contribute the remaining 50 per cent cost of the project with funding received through the Roads to Recovery program."
