"This $145,000 project is being funded through a grant from the Federal Government's Drought Communities Programme which Liverpool Plains Shire Council (LPSC) successfully applied for," Mayor, Councillor Doug Hawkins said.
"It's great news for the local economy that Council was able to engage local contractor Terry Richmond to undertake the laying of the concrete slab and when the curing process is complete Dellar and Roach will undertake the construction of the canteen and amenities block.

"The new canteen facility will provide a clean and safe environment close to the grandstand which Council constructed in 2018.
"The amenities will include new female and men's facilities and the installation of disabled access amenities in line with LPSC's Disability Inclusion Action Plan," Cr Hawkins said.
