The exhibition, run by Arts Gunnedah, will encourage all Gunnedah shire residents with an urge to create to submit their art or craft works.
Arts Gunnedah interim president Jade Punch said the exhibition would reflect a year that had been out of the ordinary.
"2020 has turned people's lives upside down," Ms Punch said.
"During this time, different things have become important to people - they have rediscovered old passions, spent more time with their families, and faced challenges they could never have seen coming.
"It is not a year that fits into the usual categories."

She said the Arts Gunnedah Creates exhibition would reflect that by encouraging anyone with any kind of art or craft work to take part.
"Our exhibition will be a true celebration of the crazy year we have all had. We want to see just what it is you have created - whether it is a painting or sculpture, lino print or wearable art," she said.
"Arts Gunnedah Creates is intended to show not only the breadth of our talent here in Gunnedah shire, but the many, many interests that have kept us all going during lockdown, loo paper shortages and endless hand washing.
"It might not have been an ordinary year, but it has been one to remember, and we want this exhibition to be something to remember too."
The exhibition will be on display at the Gunnedah Bicentennial Creative Arts Gallery from November 6 to 20. Shop windows in the town centre will also feature artworks from the exhibition.
People with artworks are asked to drop them off ready to hang to the arts gallery between 12pm and 3pm on Sunday, 1 November with a completed entry form.
