The 'Love NSW' initiative from the state government hopes to inspire a wave of tourism when travel restrictions finally ease, and our starring talents say this is something desperately needed.
Six local tourism icons from the New England North West region feature in the videos, including Tamworth's Goonoo Goonoo Station and the Pig and Tinder Box.
From Moree, the Bank Art Museum and Stahmann Pecan Nut Farm share their passion for their town, and Uralla's New England Brewing Company completes the set of compelling draw-cards.
The series, produced by the state government, features across social media, YouTube, Destination NSW websites and in paid advertising for intrastate audiences.
Simon Haggarty, owner of Goonoo Goonoo Station, said the renewed push to get people here was "truly appreciated".
"It's nice they want to keep pushing the message for the area especially after the drought, corona, and now the travel shutdowns ... what's next? It's a moving beast and the goal posts keep moving," he lamented.
"The overarching thing is, people are out there doing this for the regional communities and making sure we are not forgotten about. Pushing regional NSW is great."
While traffic is picking up in Uralla, with an almost Christmas-like rush at the school holidays, Ben Rylands says anything that puts the quietly beautiful town on the map is great.
"It's organic, it's real ... you can get a personal knowledge of something before you even visit, they've pulled that off really well," the New England Brewery Co. owner said.
"Visiting our region, it may not be something people would do as a tradition, but it's a trip they'd never forget. It's about meeting people and having experiences with the locals that live here - that's the key."
Bank Art Museum Moree (BAMM) Interim Director Kate Tuart said towns like theirs had so many hidden gems, you just have to know where to look.
"I'd like to congratulate the government on its recent highlight of BAMM and the Stahmann Pecan Farm through its Local Stories series online," Ms Tuart said.
New England MP Adam Marshall said the series would encourage intra and interstate visitors to think about their next getaway.
"It might seem a long way off yet, but once COVID-19 border restrictions ease there will no doubt be a flood of visitors into our state," Mr Marshall said.
The videos will be rolled out over the coming weeks.
