Narrabri Shire Council's cultural facilities manager Scott Pollock said many families in the shire were becoming frustrated that there wasn't much to do with the kids because of COVID-19 restrictions, so this was a fun way to relieve that frustration.
"We're trying to put it out for the villages, because most things happen in [Narrabri] itself so we wanted to do stuff in the villages so they don't have to keep travelling in," Mr Pollock said.
He said old movies would be showing as the pandemic had been held up new movie releases.
Mr Pollock said it was also important that everyone attended was able to listen to the FM radio, as this was where the movie sounds would come from.
Tickets for the two events are on sale now, and gates to both events will open at 5.30pm for a 6.15pm start.
