The club were successful in receiving a grant through the federal government's Drought Communities Program, which will be used to upgrade its popular canteen.
Gunnedah deputy mayor Rob Hooke announced the news alongside club president Ben Barlow, saying it would be a "popular project" for the young rugby players and their families.
"We've got long term resilience in the community and [the funding] also means local people are getting jobs out of this funding and funds are actually staying in the community," Cr Hooke said.
"It'll make it a lot easier for mums and dads to be able to watch their kids and participate, rather than having to spend a lot of time in inferior facilities."
