Toddler Time is every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10.30am-11.30am. Depending on the attention-span of the youngsters, three or four stories are read and discussed, with interaction encouraged, and the session finishes with a simple handicraft to reinforce the enjoyment of the stories. No bookings are required - just come along and enjoy yourselves.

Brain Training @ the Library is also running on Monday, with a morning session at 10.30am, and an afternoon session at 3.30pm.
The sessions run for an hour and include activities such as mazes, word games, number skills, trivia questions, and memory tests. It's fun and it's free. Bookings are essential for these sessions, so ring the library on 6740 2190 for more information or to book a space.
On Wednesday afternoons, Junior Brain Games is also starting again. It's an after-school activity for children aged eight to twelve years, starting at 3.30pm and running for an hour.
There's a reading and comprehension segment and activities, such as drawing, colouring-in, word and number games, mazes, spot-the-difference, and solve-the-codes. Again, booking is essential for this session, so ring 6740 2190 for more information or to book a place for your child.
Many new books have been added to the shelves during the last week. Amongs the new titles are The Other Bennett Sister, a historical fiction book by Janice Hadlow based on Mary, one of the five sisters in Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice.
A new large print thriller by Sabine Durrant is Remember me this way and Sue Monk Kidd has written The Book of Longings, which is set in Galilee in the time of Jesus.
A book that will have you laughing out loud as you dip into the pages is Australia's funniest yarns: traditional humour from the bush and the outback by Graham Seal. It is packed with hilarious little stories, poems, definitions and descriptions.
