View Street is open once again to motorists, but caution is urged as work is still continuing on the roundabout.
Transport for NSW is finishing off work on the Oxley Highway roundabout, which includes traffic islands and kerbs, landscaping, and asphalting the road surface of the approach roads.
While work is continuing on the roundabout, traffic control will be in place and motorists may experience short delays.
A temporary 40 km/h reduced speed limit will be in place through the work zone for the safety of motorists and workers.
Locals are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanked motorists for their patience during this time.
The roundabout works are part of the new Gunnedah bridge upgrade, which is scheduled for completion in March 2021.
The $62 million project is funded under the NSW Government's Bridges for the Bush program and Daracon Group has been contracted by Roads and Maritime Services to deliver the project.
