With the festival less than six months away and the COVID-19 pandemic as unpredictable as ever, TCMF2021 festival manager Barry Harley said that social distancing measures would put a stop to a lot of the usual festival favourites.
"There is a lot of uncertainty in the world right now, and we are all feeling it," he said.
"Despite this we are pushing forward with the festival plans because we know that our country music artists, the industry and the Tamworth business community rely on the festival as a significant revenue generator for the rest of the year."
All eyes are on September as the festival organisers and artists look to public health officials to determine what ticketed events will be able to go ahead.
It's likely at this stage that the event could move to a predominantly indoor festival, Mr Harley said.
"We are acting in the best interest of the health and safety of the artists, the industry and the community when we make the final decision on the 2021 festival," he said.
"We are looking at all possible scenarios, including the possibility of the event moving to a predominantly in-venue festival, which would rely heavily on our pubs, clubs and entertainment venues."
