Four firefighters from Boggabri joined Gunnedah at the scene and together, the crews swiftly contained the fire.
"We managed to contain it to a very large piece of industrial equipment, which was good. We just had to check it hadn't spread anywhere else," Gunnedah's acting captain Andrew Johns said.
"We had it knocked down within half an hour of arriving. It hadn't spread anywhere, which is really great news to [Pryde's] because they operate 24/7."
Captain Johns said they allowed employees back onto site after containing the fire and Pryde's was "confident they were able to get back up and running".
The firefighter said they were on scene for three hours.
NSW Ambulance and Gunnedah police also attended the scene.
