Authorities haven't been able to trace the source of infection for one patient residing in Gunnedah who contracted the virus.
The latest Hunter New England Health (HNEH) update on Friday shows Gunnedah had no new confirmed cases of COVID-19, as at 8pm on Thursday.
Tenterfield and Armidale also have not seen an increase in coronavirus case numbers in the latest 24-hour testing period, but the source of infection for some patients in these towns remains unknown.

NSW Health statistics show that as at 8pm on Thursday, Tenterfield and Armidale both had at least one and possibly up to four mystery cases, where authorities cannot trace the source of infection.
At the latest update on Friday from HNEH, Tamworth still had 12 confirmed cases of COVID-19, as at 8pm on Thursday.
All 12 people to contract COVID-19 in Tamworth have a known source of infection, according to data from NSW Health.
The HNEH district added just one new confirmed case of COVID-19 to the health district tally in the latest 24-hour testing period to 8pm on Thursday.
The single new case came after a three-day streak of no new infections for the HNEH district, bringing the total number of people to contract COVID-19 in the Hunter New England to 271.
