Club vice-commodore Ian Pine said everyone who sails over the weekend is eligible to compete for the Keepit Kup, and all points over the weekend go towards the Keepit Kup and the Travellers Trophy.
"The club caters for all levels of ability of sailing from the very newest and youngest to those doing it as a lifetime sport," he said.
Sails will be hoisted from 9am on Saturday, March 14 and come down at 4pm on Sunday, March 15.
Mr Pine said it was a great weekend to bring the family out to the lake and catch a few races from the balcony of the clubhouse. There will also be evening entertainment.
"It will be the biggest one for some time," he said.
On Saturday, March 21, locals can catch the Tractor Trek Street Parade from 10am in Conadilly Street.
The Rural Museum will showcase its tractors, cars old and new, bikes, utes, model aircraft, drag cars, street stockers and speedway cars.
Revellers can see their favourite vehicles up close at the Show 'n' Shine held in the Woolworths car park from 10:30am and then Weeks of Speed Festival will be officially opened at 11am.
2MO will be broadcasting live from the event and a barbecue will raise funds for the Rural Fire Service.
Festivities will shift gears and spill across the road to Wolseley Park on Saturday for the Gunnedah Autumn Market Day.
The markets are hosted by the Two Rivers Arts Council (TRAC) and Gunnedah Shire Council as part of Gunnedah's Harmony Week 2020 celebrations. Visitors are invited to browse the arts and craft and fresh produce stalls and stay to enjoy street food and live music.
