Ben achieved an ATAR of 95.40 and band 6s in physics and studies of religion 1, and band 5s in chemistry and advanced English.

He attended St Xavier's Primary School, and St Mary's College until the end of year 8, then moved to Sydney to attend St Joseph's College for the remainder of his schooling.
Ben said he had felt "pretty good" after the exams but was unsure of his performance in English so he was "surprised" by his high marks.
His parents Tim and Katrina said they are "very proud and admire his desire to make a difference".
Ben said he was "pretty keen" on pursuing engineering and has deferred a four-year degree in renewable energy engineering at the University of NSW in Sydney.
In the meantime, he is back home in Gunnedah and will spend 2020 working to save money and maybe even fit in some travel later in the year.
