Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) first placed the electronic sign outside of the Gunnedah Pet Place, and the second smaller sign was placed next to it this week. The same signs are in Conadilly Street, too.
The second sign has logos for seven businesses on Barber Street, including 4eva Keepsakes, Gunnedah Veterinary Hospital, Gunnedah Hire Service, and Reece.

4eva Keepsakes' owner Joanne Ford said the electronic sign was "good because it stood out", but couldn't say the same about the new sign.
"If you see Reece, you know straight away that's plumbing but other words like 4eva Keepsakes or some of the others you don't know what they are," Mrs Ford said.
"Some people might come for a drive just to have a sticky [beak] but it's just getting the word out there that there are west-end businesses down this way."
Gunnedah Veterinary Hospital's David Amos said the RMS hadn't even put the correct colour for his business' logo on the sign.
"I had to stand about six feet away from it to read it, there's only six businesses way on it and the one for us is particularly tiny. Our [logo on the] sign is blue when it's actually red," Mr Amos said.
"I'm pretty disappointed. I think they've gone to all this effort for something which is useless."
Mr Amos said more discussions needed to occur about the signs "because I believe they are inadequate."
The signs were placed to promote the businesses during the closure of New Street, in order to build the new Gunnedah bridge.
The Namoi Valley Independent approached the RMS for comment but were unable to respond in time for publication.
