The seven-race TAB meeting will be held next Thursday at the Riverside Racecourse.
Gunnedah Jockey Club's new manager Lyn Tongue said Riverside had "held up Ok" from Saturday's Manilla Cup meeting because the club was not reliant on using town water for the track, as Armidale Jockey Club was - "of which there is none" for their track.

Tongue said: "We're happy to be able to take the meeting from Armidale.
"I know it's desperate everywhere ... and Armidale probably won't be able to race again [until the drought is broken]," she said.
Tongue said Racing NSW would decide if Gunnedah received more meetings.
"But if we can maintain our track up to a high standard, I'm sure they'll consider Gunnedah for more transferred meetings," she added.
Tongue is hopeful Riverside will "come up a good track" for next Thursday's meeting.
