Friends of Children with Special Needs Quirindi Group's committee president Maryellen Scanlon said the event "went like clockwork" and had plenty of guests attend despite The Big Dry.
"I think actually having something for people to look forward to go out to worked," Mrs Scanlon said.
"People think it's such a great cause so they want to support it.
"It was wonderful, really successful, [and] we had such great community support and a lot of donations."
Local businesses donated groceries for the three-course meal and raffle prizes for guests.
"All the money we get from there stays in the community, [so it's] really nice and personal and very community orientated," Mrs Scanlon said.
Since the group's inception in 2011, more than $40,000 has been donated to schools in the Liverpool Plains, including St Joseph's Primary School Quirindi, Quirindi Preschool, Quirindi Public School, Quirindi High School and Currububula Public School.
