The Gunnedah school beat out 13 schools for the champion titles in both the live and carcase judging of the School Steer Challenge.
The schools were supplied with shorthorn steers and feed and were responsible for preparing the steers for the competition and had to report and photograph the steers' progress every fortnight in the lead-up to the competition.

Agriculture teacher Lachlan James and eight St Mary's students travelled to the competition last week and Year 10 student Brad Miller presented their steer, Legs 11, in the live section, winning the title of School Steer Challenge Champion.
Mr James said judge Donna Robson commented on "the excellent way the students had presented the steer, handling it in a calm and professional manner and providing it with excellent nutrition".
As a carcase, the steer scored 93.19 points and was awarded the title of Champion School Steer Challenge Carcase.
Mr James said the students had shown great "dedication" over the four months, spending "several hours outside of school preparing the steers and heifers".
"They work as a team to create such outstanding results," he said.
"There are lots of tasks to be completed throughout the event, whether it be washing, feeding, cleaning, clipping, combing or parading the steer, and the students just work together to get the job done.
"They realise that a team is only as strong as its weakest link, so they pitch in where required and in this case have achieved the highest possible accolade for their efforts."
St Mary's College students are now looking toward future events including the Upper Hunter Beef Bonanza in Scone in October.
