After defeating the Tamworth Warriors in round one, the Giants first loss came at the hands of the Armidale Outlaws, who scored a 21-12 victory.
The win has seen the Outlaws climb to to the top of the A Grade ladder.

Giants starting pitcher Brody Cleal battled hard for his side before the Outlaws big hitters took control of the game.
Both sides had their moments of big hitting with the Giants staying in touch with the Outlaws for much of the game.
However, the experienced Outlaws line up was able to break the game open and compile a match-winning lead.
Jody Revell was a stand out for the Giants, finishing the game with four hits.
Mathew Withers was also one of the Giants' best players, both in the field and with the bat.
The Giants will now look to bounce back in round three, as they take on the Tamworth Cougars.
The Cougars will also be out for a win after going down 7-5 to their crosstown rivals the Tamworth Warriors on Saturday.
