After the session, healthy snacks and a barbeque lunch were provided for the girls to enjoy while interacting with students from the other Academy before heading back to school.
The girls thoroughly enjoyed the day and were keen to get involved in rugby again at school the next day.
Guests from the Gomeroi Gaaynggal Centre, Paris Knox and Kate Sutherland, attended the day as well.
The Girls Academy is Australia's leading in-school program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls, with sport an important part.
The program also has a strong focus on academic and personal achievement, cultural connection, and planning for study and careers after high school.
