Nine-year-old Caitlin, 12-year-old Briana and mother Karen Guy have been a staple of the region’s horse riding competitions and recently have collectively enjoyed a purple patch of success.
The girls have collected a swag of prizes including five rugs, three saddlecloths and 13 broad Champion and Reserve Champion sashes between them, in a little over a month.

Karen Guy said the recent successes were “just rewards” for her girls.
“They both work extremely hard on their riding,” she said.
“Their recent successes have really pushed them to continue to take their sport as far as they can.
“Everyday they are riding, looking after their horses and pitching in where they can, so their success is reward for effort.”
Not to be outdone, Karen recently tasted success in the Namoi Horse Assocation’s dressage championships, taking home reserve prelim champion.
“It was a bit surprising to be honest,” she said.
“I didn’t think that young horse was quite up to it, but thanks to the hard work of the girls in getting it ready, it ended up doing really well.
“We wouldn’t have got there without their hard work so that win was largely their win as well.
“The girls will now turn their attention to the summer months away from riding and have a much deserved spell, they have really earned it.”
