The squad, made up of the state’s 13 best female Indigenous cricketers, is set to travel to Hobart to take on a Tasmanian women’s development squad over the next three days.
Fleming’s latest honour came hot off the heels of her debut in Gunnedah’s Connolly Cup clash with Narrabri on Sunday.
Along with the Connolly Cup selection, 2018 has been a momentous year for the Gunnedah High School student, including a tour of England with the Australian women’s Aboriginal XI.

Fleming will be a coached by by Julie Muir throughout the tour and will play alongside eight members of the NSW squad that won this year’s National Indigenous Cricket Championships.
The first ever women’s Indigenous Thunder team will be captained by 17-year-old Hannah Darlington.
Darlington said she was excited to be leading the side.
“It is a really nice opportunity to be able to represent my culture,” Darlington said.
“I take it in my stride to be a role model for those girls coming through.”
All three games will be played at Hobart’s Latrobe Recreation Ground.
