From October 1, the gates of GS Kidd Memorial School and Mullaley Public School will be be open between 8am-5pm as part of the NSW Government’s Share Our Space Program.

GS Kidd was one of 42 sites, which trialled the program in December 2017 with great success. Jacki Fitzroy and Mandy Kersley were among the Gunnedah mums who visited the school last year and said it was “brilliant”.

Kids can utilise the grassed areas and playground equipment at the two schools until October 12.

Participating schools receive a $5000 grant, which can be used to upgrade the facilities for community and school use.

Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson said he was “delighted” to see the number of participating schools grow each school holiday period.
