Staring October 2 and running across the two weeks of the school holidays, the local club will be offering up a variety of fun activities.
PCYC member Michelle Gosper said the team was excited about the upcoming program.
“These school holidays will see a couple of firsts for the Gunnedah PCYC,” Ms Gosper said.
“For the first time ever our club will be taking a day trip to Jump Up Tamworth.
“It’s the first time we have taken a day trip as part of our club’s out of hours school care and we are really excited.”
Other activities throughout the holidays include movie days, paintball painting and science experiments.
“Since beginning our program we have extended our capacity to 60 kids a day,” Ms Gosper said.
“However, given the success of the program we could be looking to expand out to 90 kids in the future.”

The program is just the start of many changes for the club, including the introduction of a before school care program.
“We are actually starting before school care in term four,” Ms Gosper said.
“We are all working parents here at the PCYC, so atmosphere is a really important thing for us.
“The last thing we want is for families to be stressing when leaving the child here and not wanting to come.
“But fortunately we have had the opposite affect and often the kids don’t want to leave when it comes time to go home.
“So for us that is really motivating and something we are aiming to bring into our before school care program.”
