At Mary Ranken Child Care Centre, the kids have been dressing in jeans for Jeans for Genes Day and raised $56 for the Children’s Medical Research Institute. They also raised $213 for farmers by holding a Crazy Hat Day and families donated four boxes of groceries.
Gunnedah Preschool’s staff and kids have been dressing as farmers and donating food items for drought-stricken families.
On the receiving end of things is Tambar Springs Public School, which was happy to get drought packages from Terrigal High School.
