LOCAL fire crews were called to help battle a blaze at a Shanley Lane property on Tuesday night.
Crews from Gunnible Rural Fire Service were first called to the property after early reports of a a fire.
Crews from Gunnedah Fire and Rescue 314 were then called to attend the scene to help assist and upon arrival found a large pile of tyres ablaze.
Firefighters wore a breathing apparatus as they controlled the blaze with a mixture of water and foam.
A crew from Boggabri Fire and Rescue 229 were called to assist in covering the Gunnedah township and were on call to answer any other emergency call outs.

Once back at the station, crews were then tasked with a lengthy process of cleaning and restocking the trucks.
Crew leaders thanked all those who reported the fire and those who helped bring it under control.
