Locals of all ages paid their respects to the fallen by taking part in an Anzac Day march, laying wreaths at the foot of the cenotaph and with a rendition of the Australian national anthem.
Event organiser Maureen Neader said she was delighted with the number of community members in attendance.
“Every year we always get a very solid turn-out,” Mrs Neader said.
“It’s so great that we do because it allows us to have a bit more of an identity and really connect to our past by honouring those who have served.”
Mrs Neader said this year’s service took on a more special meaning.
“One of our local returned veterans Stan Matthews passed away recently, so the service is also a way of remembering him as well,” she said.
“He was an airman in his younger days and well known in the community so today is a good chance for us to remember him.”

“You could the emotion within everyone who attended the service,” Cr Chaffey said.
“The memory of those who have gone before us is still there and to me it is great to see that live on at services like Breeza.
“I want to congratulate everyone who helped organise the march and service on their efforts, it really was a terrific day.”
