After April 15, registrations for junior soccer incur a late fee and this Friday will serve as a way for parents to sign their kids up with the help of GDSA committee members.
“Most registrations are done online so this day is for anyone that wants to do registration face to face,” GDSA president Simon Gainsford said.
“We also sell club merchandise, run a barbecue and we’ll have a heap of soccer balls on the field so the kids can have a kick around to get the season underway.
“We did it last year and it worked out well so we’re doing the same thing again.”
Gainsford said the committee was looking forward to a bumper year.
“The fields are in great shape and the committee is keen for another big season and hopefully we have more registrations,” he said.

“Numbers have been climbing each year between five and 10 per cent over the last three years.”
Parents are also encouraged to bring their Active Kids vouchers to claim their rebate.
The season launch starts at 4pm this Friday while the season will kick off on May 5.
