Israel has raised the threat level for travel to Australia, recommending its citizens "exercise increased precaution".

Israel's national security council announced changes to the threat level for dozens of countries with Australia, Russia, the UK, France and Germany, increased to level two.
Some nations in Africa, such as South Africa and Eritrea, and Central Asia have been raised to a level three with a recommendation to reconsider non-essential travel to those countries.
The NSC said it had "identified increased efforts by Iran and its proxies, including Hamas and Global Jihad factions, to harm Israeli and Jewish targets" globally.
"At the same time, there is a constant and significant rise in incitement, attempted attacks and manifestations of antisemitism in many countries," the NSC announcement said.
"Therefore, the NSC reiterates and underlines its recommendation to weigh the essentiality of travel at this time."
The United States, Canada, New Zealand are among countries remaining at level 1 with no warning against travel.
Israelis who are travelling overseas have been advised to avoid openly displaying their Israeli and Jewish identities, including relevant symbols.
They have also been warned to stay away from demonstrations and protests, and to check whether anti-Israel protests or violence has occurred at their planned destination.
Pro-Palestine rallies have been held regularly in Australian cities including Sydney and Melbourne during the ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza.
A protest at the Sydney Opera House in October made global headlines and was widely-condemned after anti-Israel and anti-Jewish chants were heard among the 1000-strong crowd.
