Quirindi Lions' free sausage sizzle and cool drinks were in demand and the arrival of Santa created plenty of excitement.
A brand-new Christmas tree held the centre-stage of the forecourt.
Liverpool Plains Shire Council had invited community members to bring along an unwrapped gift to go under the Giving Tree to support the CWA and St Vincent de Paul Society in Quirindi this Christmas and the cause was well supported.
Liverpool Plains Business Chamber's Secretary Tammie Clark, an-unashamed lover of the spirit of Christmas said the tree and its spirit of Community was a perfect way to get into the celebration of the season.

The Chamber's Christmas lights display was the winner of the Best Business Christmas Lights award.
Other winners included: Best House, Rachel Owen, 9 Snape Street, Quirindi; Best Lights Display, Juanita West, Allnut Street, Quirindi; and, Best All-rounder, Kimberley Sampson, 36 Russell Street, Quirindi.
Each of the category winners will receive a $50 Shop Local Voucher from Council.
