Foodbank has partnered with Gunnedah SDA Pantry and the PCYC to bring the pop-up shop to town to assist those who have been doing it tough.

Joblink Plus' Katrina Higgins said the community had been hit hard in recent times so it was a good opportunity to offer practical support.

"It's been a tough couple of years for the Gunnedah community, and with the recent floods on top of everything else, there are a lot of families who could use a hand as we head towards Christmas" she said.

Local schools and community services are welcome to collect produce on behalf of families and community members they work who can't be there on the day.

The pop-up shop will be set-up in the PCYC car park between 9.30am and 12.30pm and locals are asked to bring along a bag for their pickings.

Visitors will need to check in and have their temperature taken before entry. The produce will be spaced out to assist with physical distancing and hand sanitiser will be available.
