"It's the biggest meeting of the year for us," GJC secretary manager Lyn Tongue told the Leader earlier this week. "It'd be very disappointing if it doesn't go ahead."
The Gunnedah Christmas Hams is one of the biggest sporting and social events of the year in Gunnedah, with the track generally packed with patrons.
Riverside Racecourse was evacuated last Friday as floodwaters in and around Gunnedah rose.
On Monday, the road to the track was still under water.
There has been one change to the meeting following it being moved to Scone. Race three, a benchmark 58, is now 1300m instead of 1250m. First prize for each race is $24,000.
