Newly-established Kenway and Clark Gunnedah recently welcomed eight new full-time staff with hires across the board including an apprentice, a sales consultant, parts interpreter, four new mechanics and a machinery assembler.
With dealerships in Moree, Goondiwindi, Inverell, Wee Waa, the recent acquisitions of the Gunnedah and Tamworth dealerships represent a significant presence within the North West farming community.
Kenway and Clark General Manager Peter Burey said the group has been busily working towards starting up its Tamworth base at a newly purchased 49 Dampier Street site, but skilled staff are desperately needed.
"We're very happy to have been able to take our numbers up in Gunnedah, but we are desperately looking for new people in Tamworth," he said.
"We need administration people, parts people and mechanics, we're short about 25 people at the moment across all branches."

Mr Burey said while there is a skills shortages for diesel mechanics and good spare parts staff, they're taking matters into their own hands.
"Our workers are specialised and being able to get access to those specialised people is hard," he said.
"So we've taken a very strong approach to building our own and we're starting with a lot of younger apprentices in services and parts and tried to build them up.
"But we're happy that we've been able to find people willing to come on board with us and we're excited about the prospects of Tamworth and Gunnedah which are very strong agricultural areas.
"Gunnedah down to Quirindi is some of the best farming country anywhere so it's great to be able to provide service to the customer base in those areas and we're really looking forward to meeting as many people down there as we can."
Kenway & Clark Gunnedah stocks the Case IH Agriculture and Case Construction products as well as a range of broadacre farming equipment brands.
