THE Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has warned sheep graziers in the North West Slopes & Plains to look out for vulnerable lambs ahead of forecast cold, wet and windy conditions.

Sheep graziers are advised that cold temperatures, rain and showers and northeasterly winds are expected during Thursday and into Friday.
Areas likely to be affected include parts of the North West Slopes & Plains and Central West Slopes & Plains forecast districts.
The BOM said there is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep that are exposed to the conditions.
A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea is moving slowly east and a trough will deepen over the inland during the course of Thursday, generating rain and thunderstorms.

For the New England and Northern Slopes there is a very high chance of rain on Thursday and a chance of a thunderstorm.
That forecast continues into Friday with a very high chance of showers in the morning and afternoon, and the chance of a thunderstorm.
