Gunnedah Touch Association president Paul Brady said it was a great week for everyone despite some rainy days.
And for Brady, personally to get an award chosen by his peers was huge for the veteran touch footballer.
"To me, there's no better award to get than that one [player's player]," Brady said.
"They are the people you are playing for and with.
"There's players in my team I hold in really high regard - NSW and Australian players - I always learn from them.
"To be recognised by those guys in that environment... I'm pretty humbled but pretty proud."
The 12-strong contingent was GTA's biggest representation at the national titles.
It was something Brady was proud of after the work the GTA committee has put into their representative program over the past five or so years.
"Within the Northern NSW Eagles organisation we were recognised for the growth we've seen within the Gunnedah Touch Association and what we're trying to achieve," Brady said.
"Those individual awards certainly reinforced that we're doing some good things."
The Gunnedah Touch Association will hold their grand finals this Saturday at the Donnelly Fields. They start around 12.30pm.
Brady welcomed all to come down and check out the action.
There are 11 games in total with the last being the mixed touch final set to start around 7pm.
