Public Health Network executive director John Baillie said those listed for Phase 1b should visit the COVID eligibility site.
He urged people not to call their local practice "until they confirm they are eligible" for the phase by checking that website.
Eligible health workers will be sent invitations to have their vaccination, according to NSW Health.
These staff include frontline and aged and disabled care staff, and will be followed by the elderly; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; those with underlying health conditions; and critical and high-risk workers such as emergency services and meat workers.
Mr Baillie said vaccinated people would still need to be tested for coronavirus if they have cold and flu symptoms.
