A man has been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital overnight after a serious crash on Friday landed him in Tamworth hospital.

NSW Ambulance Media said the 76-year-old was driving a motorbike in Somerton on Friday when he was involved in a crash with a car.
An ambulance media spokesperson told ACM the man was treated for a chest injury, spinal precautions, with lower leg injuries as well.
He was taken to Tamworth hospital, but had to be airlifted later that night to Newcastle to receive further specialist treatment.
