The Wests Tigers squad is set to touch down in Tamworth on Sunday for a week and have set aside time to tour out west.
A free skills clinic will be held at Gunnedah's John Longmuir Fields on Wednesday, February 10 as part of the NRL's annual Roads to Regions tour.
The clinic is open to boys and girls aged 6 to 16 and will run from 4pm to 5pm.
NRL game development officer Luke Taylor said the squad will also be visiting Wee Waa and Narrabri on Tuesday and Quirrindi and surrounding areas on Thursday.
"We've got a couple of NRL ambassadors who are ex NRL stars including former Canterbury great Frank Pritchard and Newcastle Knight Kurt Gidley coming," he said.
"There will also be three NRLW players who along with the squad will visit some local schools.
"Wests Tigers are in Tamworth for the full week and they're running a couple of programs in the Tamworth high schools while they're there including a clinic in Tamworth.
"Last year when we had Roads to Regions we went up to Inverell, Tingha and Warialda."
Mr Taylor said it was a great opportunity for local youth that doesn't happen every day.
"It's really good when the NRL sends players that the kids know," he said.
"The kids get to interact with the players that they watch on TV and seeing their stars turn up is a pretty big thing for a kid out here."
