"Sometimes the helpers need help." That was the statement made by Kevin Anderson this week after his journey to Werris Creek to provide the local Country Women's Association (CWA) with a cheque.

During the drought, the CWA was forced to draw upon its reserves in order to provide others with the likes of food hampers, vouchers and clean drinking water.
This was then compounded by a lack of donations last year as much of the country struggled through the financial impacts of COVID-19, however the NSW Government has now stepped in to lend a hand.
Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson has provided the group with $4000, following its application for emergency funding to cover ongoing costs including rates, power and insurance.
Mr Anderson stated the importance of local organisations such as the Werris Creek CWA can not be understated, especially in times of crisis.
"It's important that those who help us in times of need are themselves supported when they face tough times," he said.
"We need community groups like the CWA to remain viable so they can continue their valuable work of providing support to those in need.
"They also go a long way to providing the 'glue' that helps hold local communities together, especially during challenging times."
The extra money will help it push through 2021, which will include the celebration of its 90th anniversary - a truly outstanding achievement in such a small community.
In a statement, Mr Anderson referred to milestone as and "incredible achievement given it was established as the country faced the Great Depression, then World War II and numerous challenges since".
"I wish the organisation well as it continues its valuable work within the local community," he said.
