In Tamworth, the Bureau of Meteorology predicts today will reach 33 degrees, with 32, 30, 32 and 32 degrees consecutively for the following days until Friday.
In terms of rain, there is an estimated 40 per cent chance of a single millimetre on Friday.
Last Friday, Tamworth had the hottest day so far this year at 33.6 degrees.
It doesn't come close to the month's hottest day last year, January 26, which hit 42.4 degrees.
Gunnedah's week doesn't look much different, with 33 degrees forecasted on Monday and Tuesday, dipping two degrees on Wednesday before reaching a top of 32 degrees on both Thursday and Friday.

The hottest day this month for Gunnedah so far was 35.6 degrees on Thursday.
The hottest day of January last year was on the second day of the year with 42.7 degrees.
