The 37-year-old was allegedly behind the wheel of a Toyota Aurion when New England police tried to stop him on the Newell Highway at Gurley.
The vehicle was stopped just before 10am on Christmas Eve and the man was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He's then alleged to have driven off from police, sparking a pursuit.
Police gave chase and eventually deployed road spikes down the highway, north of Moree.
