After starring for the Queensland Reds, the Gunnedah export realised a childhood dream when he made his Wallabies debut in the 16-all opening Bledisloe Cup draw in Wellington. Impressing, the young backrower went on to start in every game of their campaign and was one of their most consistent performers.
The Rookie of the Year award is the latest on a long list of achievements for the recently-turned 21-year old in 2020.

He was named the Rookie of the Year for the Reds and finished fourth in the player of the year count.
That came after he was adjudged by the rugby public as the Australian Super Rugby player for 2020
In a vote conducted by rugby website RUGBY.com.au following the suspension of the competition, Wilson was a runaway winner for the accolade.
Enjoying a well-earned break, Wilson's focus will soon turn to Reds and their preparations for next year's Super Rugby AU competition.
They kick-off their campaign against the Waratahs at Suncorp Stadium on February 19.
Prior to that they will play their arch-rivals in a pre-season trial at Narrabri on February 5 as part of the Santos Festival of Rugby.
