AFTER a tough year, students at Quirindi High School (QHS) were finally able to relax and celebrate their achievements at the annual awards ceremony, which was live-streamed in 2020.

Emcee, Mr Owen welcomed live-stream guests, Chairs and 2021 School Captains Millie Slade and James Redgrove oversaw proceedings - with assistance from 2021 Vice Captains Belle Davis and Sam Fechner.
The formalities commenced with the National Anthem and an emotive original composition of Acknowledgement of Country by QHS.
Principal Worley spoke on the challenges of the year that has included the impacts of COVID, modern-day teaching and student learning and how QHS is surpassing these challenges and facing them head on in all fields, including: academia, sport, social enterprise, industry, careers and more.
Unfortunately, due to COVID there were no Sports Report and limited Sports Awards.
Academic prizes for each year level were read/presented by the relevant Year Advisor/Teacher.
